Rules of the Library

I used to have my lists of manuals on a web site and called it a library. Below is what I put up for the rules of the library. Hving so many manuals, however, meant that some people could not find a manual to use as their joining fee. I rather had to be a bit flexible about rules 1 and 4 therefore.



Rules Of The Library.

1. To join, donate a manual not already held (originals only, no photo-copies). An original which can replace a manual for which I currently only have a copy will count.

2. No photo-copying of borrowed manuals until I get some sort of permission from the original manufacturers.

3. All costs to be borne by the borrower so they pay postage both ways.

4. Borrowing is only possible after joining.

5. This is not a money-making venture so I cannot either pay for books or subsidise anyone.

6. Books not held by myself can take up to two weeks to recover but if the need is urgent it can be done quicker with any extra costs to be borne by the borrower.

7. Comments are welcome and may be put onto the site for others to read.

8. This list is not perfect by any measure and is updated occasionally as time permits.

9. Anyone not adhering to the rules will have their name put on the end of this list with the reason why.

10. There is no real limit on how long people may hold books for unless it is one for which I actually own the piece of equipment.

11. Even if you know my work phone number, please do not ring me during business hours.

12. Borrowing for others is not permitted, they must join themselves.

13. This library does not lend manuals to anyone living in or near Mulgoa, NSW.

14. Manuals can be sent overseas but check the postage costs first, it can be expensive for larger or heavier manuals.

15. You can borrow as manuals at one time as the number you have provided as your joining fee.
